Welcome to Parque Lefevre, a vibrant and diverse neighborhood located in the urban area of Panama City. Bordered by the Panama Bay and the neighborhoods of San Francisco, Río Abajo, and Juan Díaz, Parque Lefevre is a central and convenient location for those looking to live in the heart of the city.
Parque Lefevre was created in 1938 and 1960, and it is named after the former President Ernesto T. Lefevre, who owned an old estate called Santa Elena in the area. In an effort to promote inclusivity and new spaces for residents from other areas, Lefevre urbanized the area and one of the neighborhoods in Parque Lefevre still bears the name of Santa Elena.
Parque Lefevre is home to the Panama la Vieja archaeological site, the original location of the city of Panama. The neighborhood also boasts a wide range of facilities.
